Throwback Thursday: "Halfcrazy" -- Musiq

Can't believe this is over 10 years old already. One of those tracks that probably means a little more to me than it does to most, given its relevance to my life at the time. But undeniably a cool track that displays Musiq doing what he does best: speaking from the heart on a real topic.

His Story

Here's a great interview given by God's Son on his career and music.

Case of the Ex

You could follow Virgil's tutelage, or you could just turn and leave the room like moi...

Monday Kickstart: Bad Mothershutyourmouths

Ever walk out of a movie theater feeling like you're Jason Bourne being chased by automatic weapon toting bad guys? Here's what the world looks like through the eyes of a cinematic badass, as the boys from Biting Elbows put a first person twist on the action movie.

As for the beautiful Beth Humphreys, that's one bad ass you'll prefer to view in third person.

Let's go.

Throwback Thursday: "Remember Them Days?" -- Beanie Sigel ft. Eve

Irony: Beanie Sigel releasing a warm, heartfelt ode to the struggle from a position of success, that 13 years later can be looked at as an ode to that position of success. Including this:

"All dem cracks and the gats, left that life alone,
It's the tracks and the raps and the microphone/
Wish I would fuck that up now"

...*sigh* Looking back at this video, you see so much wasted potential.

All-Weather Machinery

Who says a supercar isn't practical in the winter?

Certainly not Rhys Millen, who flawlessly navigates a snowy Pikes Peak road known as Loveland Pass with a McLaren 12C Spider in this video. Why does he do it? Because he wants to beat Chanelle Sladics and her snowboard to the bottom, of course.

Maybe Rhys & Chanelle can double date with Pilar Lastra and me someday.

See Ya at the Crossroads

As you know, my feelings towards LeBron are less than warm. I wouldn't say that I hate him, I'm just not among his droves of fanboys.

That being said, this is hilarious.

Spotted on Grantland.

Monday Kickstart: All Green (and Orange) Everything

These videos are from 2012, but I feel they accurately portray this past weekend for just about everyone.

Hopefully most (or at least some) of your hangover has receded by now. If you need any help finding motivation today, though, I offer the assistance of Miss Christina Milian:

...I feel like the crush I had on her in 2001 has been completely renewed. Call me mami. Let's. Get. It.

Throwback Thursday: "Can't Knock the Hustle" -- Jay-Z ft. Mary J. Blige

This track got overshadowed by some of the other tracks off Reasonable Doubt, but that's kind of like saying Kobe got overshadowed by Jordan.

Nah, Homie...

If we fear our differences, it separates. If we embrace our differences, it makes us stronger. #LOLAtWhitey

Flight Time: DeAndre Jordan

R.I.P. Brandon Knight.

Monday Kickstart: Grab Your Joystick

It's in French, so be prepared to read subtitles (unless, of course, you speak French). But it's worth it.

Truth be told, my go-to move in the bedroom is the ol' "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start".

This week, we'll let the lovely Shelby Chesnes provide the inspiration:

Well done, Shelby. Well done.

Throwback Thursday: "Lose Yourself" -- Eminem

If, in the fall of 2002, you could keep from bobbing your head and spitting along with Em when the theme song from 8 Mile came over speakers, then, well...you have more willpower than I do. There was no moment when I didn't begin flowing like I was Rabbit, with the passion of a man whose future depended on him delivering each word with the same deadly precision as Mr. Mathers. With every Top-40 spin, Eminem was making me—and millions like me—lose ourselves; and that's a victory of poetic metaphysics that has never before nor since been duplicated.

Tig Ol's

Are you Terrence Howard? No? Then don't even think of trying to be Terrence Howard. Because only Terrence Howard is Terrence Howard.

Once, back in the late 90s, Dennis Rodman tried to be Terrence Howard. But even he wasn't Terrence Howard.

Monday Kickstart: Never Say Never

This is quite likely the greatest buzzer-beater shot you may ever see. It's certainly hard to imagine one better.

Well done, Mr. Edney. Well done.

And, speaking of "hard to imagine one better", say hello to Miss Jasmine Symone:

Let's go.
