As someone who spends at least 1.5 hours in the car every day, I was interested to see this "10 worst traffic cities" list by Forbes (thanks KK).
Here's the list:
10. San Francisco
9. Los Angeles
8. Houston
7. Washington DC
6. Tampa, FL
5. Dallas
4. Orlando
3. Miami
2. Detroit
1. Atlanta
Basically, traffic sucks in the southeast. Actually traffic sucks everywhere. Story.

Surprised that New York and Chicago aren't on the list...
Tampa's worse than Chicago. I speak from extensive experience in both places.
The traffic in Tampa is so bad that my boss, when I got hired, told me I didn't have to be at work before 10 am. Why? Because there's no point in trying to get anywhere before 10 am in Tampa.
First metropolitan area I've ever lived in where there's NO mass transit other than a couple scraggly buses.
