Asdrubal Cabrera, second baseman for the Indians, turned an unassisted triple play last night. Only 14 such plays have taken place in the modern era. To put that in perspective, there have been more perfect games and players hitting four home runs in one game (15 apiece).
Of course, only Sportscenter could minimize that rarity of a feat by combining it with a sharp but routine double play as its #1 Web Gem. Ironic that the most iconic American sports show of our time is responsible for destroying sports.
