If you're not much of a poker forum browser then you may have missed out on an interesting proposition bet going on at the 2 plus 2 boards. Basically this dude WCGrider, an online grinder, has a bet going that he can net a profit of $10,000 within the time period of exactly 1 month, while multi tabling nothing but 25NL online. He's been booking action at an asking price of 5:2 odds.The whole thing is very legit as a strict set of rules have been implemented including a 24/7 webcam broadcast to insure he is the one playing at all times. Not to mention the fact that the dude is a very respected member of the online community.
To be honest, this seems like a ridiculously impossible feat.
$10,000 at 25NL equals 400 buy ins which in turn equals roughly 400,000 hands at a modest winrate of 5BB/100.
That's almost 13k hands per day! He'll have to be putting in anywhere from 10-18 hours a day depending on variance. I just don't think he'll be able to keep it up for 31 straight days, which is why I've already placed a couple of bets against him achieving his goal.
