Throwback Thursday: "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" — Master P ft. Fiend, Silkk The Shocker, Mia X & Mystikal

...I know, I know. Look, I hate to admit it just as much as you do. But in '98, parties were pumping this track 'til the windows rattled. If you're a fan of lyricism...well, just put that on the shelf for now. Throw up your chain, and get rowdy.

[And for the youngins, seeing this for the first time...yes, that's a solid gold tank.]

Tuesday Kickstart: Reality Slap

Because today is effectively Monday. And because, after Memorial Day Weekend, I'm sure each of us could use several good slaps.

Did it make anyone else uncomfortable to realize just how many old movies had scenes where a man slaps a woman? Some parts of that montage felt very...skeevy.

This week's inspiration is eye-popping Courtney Tailor:

What Would You Do?

Man, if people took the time to simply learn and understand each other, imagine what we as a race of beings could achieve. This video has a powerful ending. Maybe we should take the time to make it a beginning.

Wheel of Musical Impressions

Yeah, Fallon panders to his guests. But give him (or his writing staff at least) credit for coming up with unique bits to entertain us with. Like this game with Jamie Foxx, where each person has to do a random song in the voice of a random artist. Get ready for Jamie to kill the John Legend impression.

Monday Kickstart: Online Dating

If you could go on a date with your favorite website, would you even want to? Emma Blackery shows you what it might be like.

This is like an adult version of BuzzFeed's "If the internet was a high school" video. Blackery's impressions are spot-on, from Tumblr's constant need take offense to minor things, to Google+'s desire to be loved. And you've gotta love her commitment on the Instagram impression.

This week's inspiration is a woman you most certainly would rather date, Ms. Sara Kristina:

A 2-for-1 on Lessons

Look, if a brotha knocks you to the floor with one shot and then walks away, maybe don't push the issue any further.

Throwback Thursday: "Same Song" — Digital Underground ft. Tupac

Only true hip-hop fans really remember this track. It marked the introduction of one Mr. Tupac Shakur. Which, ironically, means this song is pretty unique.

Tuesday Kickstart: Try, Try Again

What happened to Monday, you ask? Fuck Monday.

No, you want an actual reason this wasn't posted yesterday? Umm. I, uh... Okay, I fell asleep early Sunday night, and didn't get a post put together. *shrug* Shit happens.

So do outtakes. If you're familiar with Glove and Boots, then you know they put together some of the best YouTube material out there. But even these guys aren't perfect. Case in point:

I only hope that brought you as much joy as it brought me. I have an inherent tendency to laugh at other people cracking (count me among those who loved Jimmy Fallon's inability to hold his shit on SNL). Gag reels are my spiritual center, and watching that video last night had me in hysterics. I'm talking, laughing-so-hard-I'm-crying-so-hard-I-can't-breathe-so-hard-call-paramedics hysterics. Holy hell I'm ready to kill Tuesday after that.

Speaking of which, you had to wait an extra day for inspiration, and for that I apologize. All I can say is that I hope you'll agree that Miss... Miss de la Hoyde? *checks notes* We don't have a first name for her? Kev? TJ? No first name? Why should I even bother giving her a shout if we don't know her first na—

...oh. I see. Umm...I think that'll do. Let's go.

Throwback Thursday: "Vivrant Thing" — Q-Tip

I'll preface this post by saying I was never a huge fan of this track. I prefer thought provoking rhymes over the shake-ya-ass fare. But there's no denying that Tip took people there with this one back in '99. So there you go.

You may not recognize yourself as one of these types, but chances are your coworkers do.

Monday Kickstart: Hugs All Around

For all the hype that led up to it, the only thing that Mayweather vs. Pacquiao settled was the legitimacy of concerns that boxing is dead.

Forgive me if I sound like a crotchety old-timer, but what the hell has happened to boxing? What we saw Saturday night was not the boxing I grew up with. Back then guys, you know...boxed. They were aggressive. They fought like their paycheck depended on it. Mayweather's didn't, and that clearly took away any incentive he might have had to actually fight. He has a defensive style, sure. But he looked completely shook in the ring on Saturday, refusing to throw counter punches, no matter how many times Pacquiao pressed him.

Boxing is dead. Time of death: about 1 a.m. EST, May 3, 2015.

On to more uplifting thoughts. Like Miss April 2014, the exquisite Ms. Shanice Jordyn:
