Poker players suing L.A. casinos

To sum it up in my own words, the L.A. casinos have a poker jackpot when a player catches a bad beat with an 'aces full of nines' or better hand. The casinos claim that "no purchase is necessary" to win the jackpot. The players are claiming that because a $1 fee is collected every hand and only the tables that pay those fees are eligible for the jackpot, a purchase is necessary.

I could care less either way.

From the L.A. Times:
The suit says the players were denied a chance to compete for 'bad beat' payouts, for those who lose despite holding strong hands, unless they played at tables where the house collects $1 per pot.
