Monday Kickstart: Love to Hate

So, there's a new Mortal Kombat coming out in 2015: Mortal Kombat X. And the trailer features one Mr. Wiz Khalifa. I'm no Nostradamus, but something tells me this will be a big hit with the kiddies.

I can't wait for the first act of mass violence to get blamed on this game. Will it make sense? No, of course not—it never does. But will it happen? Faster than you can say "Consumer Watchdog Groups." (If you've never heard of that term before, it's another name for people who attempt to parent their kids through a "blame everyone but me" method. Another such term is "conservatives"...)

*ahem* Moving on... If you're one of those Fox News parents out there, the stunningly gorgeous Playboy Cyber Girl of the Year, Ms. Elizabeth Marxs has a message for you:

So do I, Elizabeth. So do I. Let's go.

Community Rises

If you're a fan of Community (and really, I find it hard to believe you'd be awesome enough to be a Crooked Straight fan if you're not a Community fan), you'll love this mashup video almost as much as you love the news that the gang from Greendale will be back with new episodes on March 15th. #sixseasonsandamovie, bitch.

2012

It's been a while since Roland Emmerich tore up the Earth.

The king of disaster is back, and this time it's not just major cities (as in "Independence Day") or the northern hemisphere (as in "The Day After Tomorrow") that are in trouble. "2012" calls upon an ancient (and very real) Mayan prophecy that the world would come to an end three years from now. The resulting trailer (below) is an orgy of Mother Nature's wrath and the human race's desperate struggles to survive. Looks interesting, but chances are I'll wait until it's on HBO next year before I peep.

New(er) Transformers Trailer

*****"Transformers" geek alert*****

For those of you who haven't caught it yet, the third trailer for "Revenge of The Fallen" has been released. The wait for this flick is going to kill me.

And it's nice to see they're still throwing in random gratuitous shots of Megan Fox in this one, too.

New Transformers Trailer

This has been around for at least a couple of months now, with shorter versions being played in TV spots from time to time. But I'm on a bit of a Revenge of The Fallen kick right now, so I'm posting this for any of my fellow cool people (read: Transformer geeks) who haven't caught it yet.
