Daily Dunk: Leon Powe, "The Show"

It's tempting to pronounce his last name "Pow," especially after what the Celtics' reserve forward did to the Lakers last night, and even the Zen Master mispronounced it in the postgame news conference.

But it rhymes with "show," and he put one on last night - scoring 21 points - to lift the Green Machine up to 2-0 in the NBA Finals. I wanted a clip of him taking the ball from past halfcourt all the way in for an uncontested jam, but this posterization of Ronny Turiaf off a sick dime from Rajon Rondo is just sweet.

After watching this game (especially this dime and another sequence where he played keep-away with the ball against Lamar Odom) I came to a conclusion about why Rondo's jumpshot is so horrific. His hands are too damn big. He palms the ball in almost the same way Shaq does and Dr. J did, which is kind of how I palm a tennis ball. And putting rotation on a jumper with a tennis ball aint easy.
