Aziz Ansari gives the world a glimpse of President Obama behind the scenes. This honest, starstruck commentary on meeting someone more famous than yourself is why I love Aziz. And this unpretentious, unaffected affability is why I love Barack.
This flick has been building buzz over the past several months, and with all of the big time acting and comedy names involved, you can understand why. And this two minute trailer will surely do little to kill that buzz. Aziz Ansari looks like he's going to steal the show.
Here's a clip that I somehow missed during the years of the Arsenio Hall Show: Arsenio goes off on several gay rights activists from the group "Queer Nation" when they stage an ambush protest during taping of his show. Instead of trying to ignore them or simply signal for security to remove them, he confronts them head-on and dismantles their arguments. This is great.
