Monday Kickstart: High Holiday

Happy 4/20, my good peoples. This video is a little old, having first hit the web late last year. But I move that it become a 4/20 tradition, the It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown of this weed smokers' holiday—a holiday that's only going to get bigger as marijuana legalization spreads across the country.

Those ladies rock. Gangsta grannies. Who wouldn't love to see their grandmother get stoned? The closest I ever came was smoking with one of my aunts. Both of my grandmothers have been gone for quite some time, but I know both would've been hilarious while high. If you're lucky enough to still have your grandparents in your life, get them high, as a thank you for being awesome.

This week's inspiration is a beautiful, swirling blend of curves and fluid movement, like smoke itself. Introducing Ms. Jena Frumés:

Monday Kickstart: A Kinda New Day

The archaic laws of this country are slowly changing to adapt to modern day science and education. The key word there being "slowly."

One of the many reasons I'd like to hit the PowerBall: To have enough money that I wouldn't have to worry about getting caught up by pointless laws like those that criminalize marijuana use. Maybe one day we'll just admit that even the most powerful people in America, the people whose dollars operate the strings on the politicians who make the laws, like to toke up. And we'll all just move on. Maybe.

Time for this week's inspiration. There are many things I look for in the lady who I choose as the week's Kickstart model. Poise. Sophistication. Elegance. A bangin' body and a face that could launch a thousand ships to war. This week's choice, Ms. Terann Hilow, certainly has ample amounts of all of that. But what put her over the top is posing in an Oakland Raiders bikini:

As a lifelong Raiders fan, I can say without hesitation that this is the best that shield has looked for over a decade. Let's go.

Respect My Gangsta: Charlo Greene

If Charlo isn't already married, I'm proposing just as soon as my flight to Alaska lands. Go figure the only black woman in Alaska is gangsta as fuckkkk...

[You'll need to turn up the sound, the quality is pretty bad.]

For more on the tale of this gangsta that's stolen my heart, check out Mashable.

High Enough to Touch the Stars

Jenny's my girl. She kills every scene she's in on Parks & Rec, House of Lies, Kroll Show, and everything else. And she was adorable in her spot on Drunk History. Not going to lie, I was a little upset when I found out that she's married. Her husband's a lucky guy. Especially if she gets this high with him.

Monday Kickstart: Thinking Outside the Box

Everyday, we come one step closer to marijuana being legalized across the country. Several states have already passed legislation to allow people to light it up as they please. And big corporations are scrambling to be the first to cash in on it.

From UPROXX:
Fast food chain Jack In The Box have a new ad campaign that might just appeal to a certain demographic – specifically, the kind that think it’s a good idea to eat 1,500 calories late at night. I’m talking about stoners. Fans of the marijuana. The Mary-Jane. The sticky-icky. The pot, the reefer, the grass, daddy-o.

The future is going to be so weird. I think I'm going to buy stock in Funyuns.

Speaking of feeling lightheaded, allow me to introduce Ms. Leia Christiana:

Smokin'. Let's go.

You Have the Right to Remain Crunchy

Did I ever tell you how much I love the city of Seattle? I was there for one week in 2005, and ever since I got on the plane to come home, I've wanted to go back. I've craved it. Like one of those really, really super-intense cravings, you know? It's like, like...

(From MSNBC):
A marijuana-centric festival in Washington state this weekend will have a heavy police presence, but the cops will be a little friendlier than one might expect.

Instead of handing out summonses at Hempfest 2013, Seattle police have announced plans to hand out bags of snacks— with a message.

Seattle Police Department spokesman, Sgt. Sean Whitcomb said the department intends to use the opportunity to get the word out about their guide to Washington's new marijuana law by attaching a summarized version attached to bags of Doritos.

This sounds like a scene from a Police Academy reboot. Seattle's police department is now officially cooler than everyone else's police departments. Not that many of them have set a high bar...
