a. The Houston Rockets acquire Chris Paul or Deron Williams.*
b. The New Orleans Hornets acquire Yao Ming and Ron Artest.*
c. The Cleveland Cavaliers acquire Peja and Chris Paul.*
*indicates that none of these teams would lose any of their top eight players, as the Lakers managed to do last year when trading for Pau Gasol.
