D Rose with the Steal?

Interesting rumor floating around that Derrick Rose laughed in a hooker's face instead of paying her for her...services.

From Nurize (via Boxden):
Reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose just got put on blast by a popular ESCORT hooker named Bee. According to BEE via Twitter, DRose stiffed one of her friends… And when it was over, she asked Derrick for payment and allegedly Rose “laughed” in the prostitute’s face and told her that he wasn’t paying
TJ is, of course, playing the "good wife" on this one and defending his man-crush to the end. Personally, I think this story has a little bit of merit. True, Rose isn't known for being the type of guy to hire hookers, let alone skip out on the bill. But I see little reason for "BEE" to lie on this, since there wouldn't be much she could gain aside from some minor publicity (which isn't all that great of a thing when you consider that her livelihood depends on law enforcement people not knowing what her livelihood is).

And, really, is it such a stretch of the imagination that Rose could have been at a club, casino, hotel, etc., and pulled a ridiculously hot chick; then, after they did the damn thing, she piped up and said "That'll be $3000"? We've certainly seen it happen in TV and movies enough times to make it all the more likely that some female of subpar intelligence would actually try pulling off this Looney-Tunes-for-adults-worthy ploy. And if you were D Rose in this (albeit hypothetical) situation, what would be your response? Would you pay her? Hell no. You'd probably just get dressed, laugh at the broad, and walk out the door.

Whether he legitimately stole from this chickenhead or not, at least Rose is finding a way to keep himself in shape during the lockout.

Daily Dunk: Derrick Rose

Not as good as his dunk last year but definitely the second best dunk of the young season... Can't wait until he defecates on someone.

Daily Dunk: Tyrus Thomas

I'm sure Derrick Rose wasn't too happy about getting his lay-up pinned against the backboard...until Tyrus Thomas came out of nowhere for the follow smash, making Rose's rejected lay-up look like a well planned alley-oop.

Broken Ankle

Two nights ago D. Rose put a nasty cross on Andre Miller, who consequently turned his left ankle.

I have a feeling this won't be the last time D. Rose does this to someone. Nasty.

Daily Dunk Special

I really wanted to post a Derrick Rose highlight here, after my Bullies took him No. 1 tonight in the draft, but I just posted one a couple of weeks ago. So to commemorate John Paxson's perfect shot, I'll give you this clip of him hitting his last perfect shot. (Note Dan Majerle throwing his hands up in the foreground cuz he knows Johnny Pax is money with an open J.):

For the actual dunk, however, we'll feature a former No. 1:

Trust me, Emeka ... it's a lot easier to block a shot when you jump.

NBA Draft T-Shirts by UNDRCRWN

UNDRCRWN has joined Adidas in a promotional package of the top five (projected) picks in today's draft. Each player was given a pack that included track jackets and t-shirts. My sources tell me that O.J. Mayo is a pen away from inking to Nike, who made a big push at him when he visited their campus in Beaver, OR, last week.

Daily Double: Dunk of the Day

For those who may not have noticed, I'm a native Chicagoan, and thus I have been doing the "BULLS GOT THE FIRST PICK IN THE DRAFT, BIZNOTCH" dance since about 9:30 last night. Ask the Hero and DEFI; they even got texts about it.

So today's Daily Dunk is a tribute to the monster in the paint and the hometown hero, either of whom I'd be perfectly happy to see in a Bulls uni.

First up, Michael Beastly with the crossover:

Next, D. Rose represents for the Simeon Wolverines:

Sonics Fans: Quite the quandary

I'm from Seattle and naturally, a die-hard Seattle Supersonics fan.

And if you didn't notice, we really sucked this year. Like, we really sucked big time.

The good thing about that is that we have a good shot at the #1 pick in the NBA lottery. The Heat have a better shot but we still have a decent shot at it. And even if we don't get the #1 pick, we should definitely get a top pick.

However, there's this little rumor floating around the NBA that the Sonics are moving to Oklahoma City and will never play in Seattle again.

This is where the quandary comes in.

If the Sonics move to Oklahoma City, I really want them to suck balls. Worse than they did this year. I don't even want them to win a game in OK City.

But if they stay in Seattle, I want them to get either D. Rose or Beasley, although I'd still settle for O.J. Mayo, who I think will make a good pro.

So tonight while the NBA lottery is going down, how am I supposed to root? Am I supposed to hope that the Sonics get lucky and land a top pick? Or am I supposed to hope that we get screwed over and drop to the bottom of the lottery?

This really sucks.

I would love to see Durant and Beasley play side by side, or watch Derrick Rose throw dimes to Durant on the break for the next ten years.

But only if they're in Seattle.

Mock Draft

Yesterday I'm playing poker and my boy walks by me and tells me that "O.J. is gonna suck" in the NBA. Well, according to nbadraft.net, NBA teams must be pretty high on him if he's going third.

I'm a bit suprised to see that. What about three Pac-10 players in the top five? Westbrook at nine? Interesting. Too bad the Sonics aren't staying in Seattle or I'd love Beasley with Durant and Green.
