Kev, you remember this one? I'd have to put this down as one of Reign Man's most vicious jams ever. I mean, he hit homie IN THE MOUTH.

John Brown's dedication to Sarah Palin
Remember the "White Rapper Show"? If you do, you probably remember John Brown, who had some gimmick that I don't really remember that well but it was something like "I'm not a rapper I'm a business" or something. He was basically one of those TV personalities that at first was incredibly annoying and ignorant (i.e. Flava Flav, New York, etc.) but over the course of a few episodes grew on me and eventually I was rooting for him.
Just remembered he's the guy that never stopped saying "Hallelujah, Holla Back," which my boy Big Time repeated to me every time he saw me.
Anyways, here's a song that he did for Sarah Palin that is ridiculous, but again so ridiculous that I ended up liking it. I have no idea why but here's a quote:
"I wanna get in your bed, under the deer head, so I can tap that ass like a beer keg..."

Shaq and sons
I'm sure all of us have marveled at the fun that Shaq has with his life, whether watching him on the court, doing interviews, or at the all-star games, he seems to take a light-hearted approach to life.
So you can only imagine what it would be like to be one of his sons. Here's a quick glimpse at life as an O'Neal kid as he shows his boys how to do the robot.
Don't worry, there's no references to how his ass tastes.

New Cap City fitteds

Here are some new hats to hit the ecapcity website. If you feel these, get them quick cause Cap City sells out of everything they have and it sucks to find a hat you love only to find out it's been sold out for weeks.

Video fo the day: Snoop Dogg - Who Am I? (What's My Name?)
This is a classic. If it's not in your list of all-time classics, then you're under the age of 11. I think I used to listen to this song on repeat for five hours a night every night for three months.
I'm partiularly fond of Dre's "rat-a-tat-tat" line.

Nike Hypermax

These are ill, but apparently catered towards big men so I have no business wearing them.

George Brett is a foul dude
I'm not sure how to describe this clip. George Brett is apparently leading stretches for some Royals team and describes to another coach how he shits his pants at least twice a year, including one particularly gross incident that happened at the Bellagio.
It's humorous.

Phil Ivey wins million dollar cash game

Poker's best player has done it again. Up against the best cash game players in the world, which included Hellmuth, Antonius, Hansen, Matusow, Durr, Townsend, etc., Phil Ivey won the million dollar cash game (Full Tilt sponsored) in London.
To my best knowledge, the way the game works is player buy in with their own money for either 100k or 200k, then whoever is up the most at the end of the two-day session also wins a trophy and a bonus cash prize. This is just info I've picked up from conversation.
Here's a link to the story on the Full Tilt blog.
Daily Dunk: Alando Tucker
Alando Tucker was an undersized forward who played at Madison while I lived in Wisconsin, and fans loved him for his effort and blue-collar play, not to mention his penchant for making crazy shots after the foul.
Here he soars for an alley oop from Kammron Taylor, and then celebrates it with what might be some crip-walking, which makes this clip ideal for Crooked Straight.

Swagger Like Puff
This is classic Puffy right here. Probably miffed at being excluded from T.I.'s "Swagger Like Us," which featured Jigga, Kanye and Wayne, Puff did his own version, which actually may be the best song I've ever heard him do (okay I'm lying). But due to his swagger, he does make an entertaining video out of nothing here as he introduces the song, eats a bowl of Fruity Loops with orange juice instead of milk, and then dances in his living room. Well done Diddy.
Download: T.I. "Paper Trail" (Album)
I've been waiting for this one and will definitely buy it when it hits the stores, so you should too. I've already heard great reviews about the album, so I'm looking foward to listening to it. This cover is an instant classic.

Funk Flex addresses R. Kelly
In this youtube clip, Funk Flex makes some very valid points as he address R. Kelly and the interview that he gave on BET.
Props to Flex for stepping up and going after R. Kelly. It seems that for some reason, he has gotten one of the biggest all-time passes on his legal (or should I say illegal) situation regarding his sex offenses. Obviously BET is trying to get ratings and that's why they had him on, but why other artists continue to make love songs featuring R. Kelly and radio stations continue to play his music when their main listening base is the 13-20 age group, is beyond me.

Men Down

It was a nice run that lasted over a year but I'm closing my personal blog, the back door straight. I haven't had much to write about recently and I'd rather focus my writing and time on the Crooked Straight, so hopefully we'll see some improvement on this site. I'm looking forward to writing more about sports and music and giving some opinion on the stuff that I post up.
I also took off the link for the "Roller Coaster" blog. The guy who did the blog is a nice poker player but had like three posts in about eight months so there was no point in keeping the blog around (he hasn't posted since June 9).
Jordan Retro Velcro
I'm not sure what's going on at the Air Jordan headquarters, I think they let BJ Amstrong take over.

Skateboarding down a canyon must be fun
These two cats get dressed up in their pimp suits and take off down Claremont Canyon in the Bay Area, clearly going fast as hell as they pass up cars and have no fear of the oncoming cars on the other side of the street.
The kicker is that they flawlessly hand off the camcorder to each other while smashing down the Canyon.
This sh*t reminds me of some type of real life Point Break.
