GQ: Aaron Brooks

Brooks rocking the cherry red tux at last night's press conference after he torched the Lakers for 34 points.

Trend setter.

P.S. the real story behind the red blazer is that as some joke someone told the whole team that they had to wear the cherry red blazers. Not only was Brooks the only player to actually wear it, but he bought the matching red bow tie to complete the look.

Aaron Brooks shows the Big Cactus some respect

In this clip A.B. discusses the Rockets-Suns melee and why he wasn't involved once Shaq entered the picture. At 6'0" 170, I don't really blame him.

It does make me wonder how long would Aaron Brooks survive against Shaq if they were thrown in the cage? I'm sure Brooks' quickness would be a lot for Shaq to handle but I have to think the big fella would wrap it up pretty quickly.

Daily Dunk Announcement

As far as Daily Dunk is concerned, the NBA has only 29 teams right now. For a variety of reasons - the shady way the franchise was created and the fact that it was ripped from the home of CrookedStraight's overlord, among others - that team will not be featured on DD. It won't even be mentioned by name. However, it will still appear as a victim if and when it finds itself, for example, being obliterated via an alley oop by a six-foot, second-year point guard who weighs less than my little sister but reps SeaTown HARD. (Plus Kev kinda knows him.)

Aaron Brooks, please do the honors. It's only right.

B. Roy does it big in P-O

Last night I was sitting down playing poker when I glanced at the huge screen and noticed that the Rockets vs. Trail Blazers game was on. I like watching both teams because my boy's little brother is Aaron Brooks and Brandon Roy is also from Seattle, so I like checking up on them. Then I noticed that the score was tied 96-96 in overtime. Here's what happened (don't sleep on this).

I felt bad when I jumped out of my chair and yelled "Oh Sh1t!" and realized that the rest of the table was not paying any attention to the game and thought I was an obnoxious moron.
