Extinction Alert

I'm not sure if you've heard, but the Manny train made it's last stop in Chicago and gave out a solid 4-8, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 BB, ass whooping to the Chicago Cubbies. The Cubs didn't help themselves out with four infield errors en route to losing their two home games by a combined score of 17-5, thus forfeiting any home field advantage that they earned through the course of a 162 game regular season.

But that's what happens when you fuck with Manny.

Okay, I'll jump off his balls now and go watch the Angels game.

Shoe shopping with Joe Budden

This is an interesting clip of Joe Budden shoe and hat shopping at a boutique in his hometown. He fake balls about four times telling the store he will buy the whole wall of shoes in his size, making it rain and telling the store to keep the change, all in sarcasm. I'm wondering why he name drops Marcus Williams at least 10 times in the clip though.

Sarah Palin haunts Diddy

I gotta give it up to Diddy for his latest blog as he taps into his creative side and mocks Sarah Palin by comparing his fear of her to the Blair Witch Project. I have to say I agree with Diddy and to be honest the clip he shows of her is hilarious as she fails to recognize one news publication that she read.

Download: Royce da 5'9" "Shot Down" and "Y'all Must of Forgot"

"Shot Down" is his remix of "Love Lockdown" by Kanye and I have to say I prefer Royce's rendition to Ye's. Especially the screaming and ambulance background noises and the commentary at the end of the song.

Daily Dunk: Plastic Man

Stacey Augmon was one of those guys all hoops fans liked. He wasn't a star, but he wasn't just a role player, either. He had a fluid style, he was quiet and humble and he never seemed to screw up. He also had an ill nickname and could dunk with the best of them in his prime.

Download: DJ Babu ft. Bishop Lamont "My Opinion"

I've been a Bishop and a Babu fan for a long time and I'm glad to hear them get together on this track, which was a good listen and I'm feelin the Babu beat. This is off the upcoming "Duck Season" record by Babu that Trek Life should have been on.

I don't care if you're voting for Obama or McCain, but everyone needs to vote this year as our country is taking a turn for the worse. A combination of decisions by our past presidents have left us at a key point in the country's history and future. So watch this video for some motivation, go to http://www.maps.google.com/vote and print out your registration form. I just did it and it takes about three minutes, no more. Don't be a bitch!

T-Pain vs. his vocoder

Here's a short skit of T-Pain poking fun at himself and his vocodish ways. Nice to see that he has a sense of humor and understands that the rest of us are tired of the damn vocoder! Get rid of it asap.

Charles Hamilton with questionable reasoning

If you haven't noticed yet, there's a young kid out of NYC by the name of Charles Hamilton that has been making waves on the internet blogs. I'm not sure if anyone really knows who he is outside of net heads, but regardless he's doin his thing. Anyways, Hamilton is known for wearing pink and Sonic the Hedgehog gear and gives his reason on this clip. There's also some cool freestyles. My opinion on Hamilton (not that anyone gives a shit) is that he's got some raw talent but he's a little rough around the edges. I'd love to hear some real songs from him so we have something more concrete to judge him on.

The Twins got shafted

I've always had a secret love for the Minnesota Twins. It started because I was a fan of Kirby Puckett, but continued as I realized that the Twins are in a similar situation as my beloved Mariners as far as their market size is concerned. Except for the fact that the Mariners are horrible and have about twice the payroll that the Twins do.

Anyways, every year I admire how the Twins orgnization puts together a winner or at least a contender. It seems like a new ace emerges for the Twins prennially and this year it looked like they were in the playoffs even after losing their best two players (arguably Tori Hunter and Johan Santana) in the off-season.

As of this weekend, the White Sox had played like shit and had to win on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday against the Twins to make it into the playoffs and send the Twins home.

The White Sox won on Sunday and Monday by some sort of miracle and we got the one-game playoff between the Twins and White Sox.

Common sense would tell you that the team with a better head-to-head record should go to the playoffs, because that is obviously the better team. Not in Major League Baseball.

Well obviously the better team should get home field advantage right? Not in MLB. After 162 games of baseball, Major League Baseball decided home field advantage for this one-game playoff by a coin toss. WTF? Yeah, I have no idea.

Who cares about the 18 head-to-head games that the Twins and White Sox played (the Twins won 10-8), let's leave it up to this quarter that I just got from 7-11 to see who gets home field.

Of course the White Sox won 1-0 in a game that probably would have gone much differently had it been played in Minnesota. With all the rule changes that baseball has been giving into (instant replay, all-star game champ hosting the World Series, etc.), I can't beleive they're still deciding home field advantage by a coin flip.

The only saving grace is that our guy Griffey has another shot at a ring.

The new Busta dance

This is the "Arab Money" dance, sure to be hitting a night club near you soon. This dance, likely originated by Busta and his good buddy Spliff, is not too hard to do. Just remember, point to the left first, switch, go crazy. Fast forward to the 2:10 mark if you don't want to hear Busta address America's economic crisis and upcoming election.

To all those that are rooting and voting for Obama, Busta wants you to do this dance on November 4th. I'm a fan of this little jig because even a man of my questionable dancing skills can pull it off.
